During the interaction, one of the men hugged the victim, and shortly afterward, the victim realised that their wristwatch had been stolen. The police have launched an investigation into the incident.
In a separate incident later that evening, the police received reports of an attempted theft on Rue de Bouillon in Luxembourg City. Preliminary information indicates that a thief on a bus tried to steal a phone from a bag. However, the thief was prevented from fleeing by two other passengers. A police patrol responded to the scene and has filed a report.
