Luxembourg police responded to multiple incidents on Tuesday, including a workplace assault, an arrest for rebellion, and several burglaries.

On Tuesday afternoon, police were called to a workplace following reports of a man causing a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers learned the individual – the ex-partner of an employee – had physically assaulted and threatened the woman and damaged property. The man attempted to flee but was located and arrested by police. He was presented before an examining magistrate on Wednesday morning.

In a separate incident Tuesday evening on Rue de Bonnevoie in Luxembourg City, officers arrested a person on an active warrant. The individual became uncooperative while being escorted to the police station, attacking the officers and fleeing. Police apprehended the suspect a short time later. Following a mandatory medical check-up, the individual was placed in pre-trial detention at the Sanem penitentiary and fined for rebellion against police officers.

Police also reported several residential burglaries in the towns of Kehlen and Hoffelt. Investigations into these break-ins are ongoing.
