Luxembourg CityWork continues with tram line set to connect Findel airport by end of 2024

RTL Today
Work is progressing on the construction of the new tram extension to Findel airport, which will be completed by the end of 2024.

The project is now entering its most important phase with the building of a new bridge over the A1 starting in May. The bridge will be 110 metres long, 10 metres wide and 8 metres high above the motorway, with a projected cost of 15 million euros.

The new segment connecting Luxexpo to Findel will be four kilometres long and include two new stops along the way.

An estimated 90,000 Luxembourg City residents use the tram every day. It has now expanded to reach Bonnevoie and the city centre after initially opening in Kirchberg in 2017.

2024 will be the year of the tram, says Francois Bausch
