Despite intervention from a brave bystander who pulled the woman out of her burning car, she later passed away in hospital due to the severity of her injuries.

The fatal accident occurred on Route de Broderbour in Gilsdorf at 1.50pm on Sunday.

For reasons that remain to be determined, the woman lost control over her car, which caused her to collide with another vehicle, come off the road, and finally crash into a house. The vehicle subsequently erupted in flames.

A bystander helped pull the woman out of the burning car, suffering injuries and suspected smoke inhalation in the process. The woman was then rushed to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, but she later succumbed to her wounds.

The man who tried to save her was also brought to a hospital for a medical check-up. The driver of the second car involved in the accident was not injured.
