According to a press release issued by CFL, a power outage occurred in Bettembourg at around 8am on Saturday, which brought a halt to the entire rail network until around 9.30am. Although trains slowly resumed from that point on, the issue was still unresolved as of 4.30pm, with cancellations and delays to be expected throughout the day.
Technical teams were on site to find a solution for the issue. In the morning, it was estimated that it would take until 3pm to get trains running normally again, but this has not proved to be the case.
The Luxembourg-Thionville-Metz line is affected, while trains from Luxembourg to Rodange are currently only travelling between Rodange and Esch-sur-Alzette.
