The RTL team was also allowed to film how a small fraction of parcels makes a detour via a small, discreet room where they are examined by customs officials.

Officer Daniel de Macedo and his colleagues regularly intercept counterfeit, as well as other illegal and outright dangerous products.

In our video report, customs officers showed just some of these products, such as fake designer bags, running shoes and even Viagra. Often officers also seize illegal weapons, such as swords for example.
