RTL Today
During the night from Saturday to Sunday, the CGDIS were called to the scene of a fire in the North of the country around 2.19am.

At the moment of the firefighters’ arrival at the scene, the warehouse was completely ablaze, with vehicles and firewood still inside.

They managed to remove several vehicles from the warehouse. Five fire services groups from across the Grand-Duchy were sent to the scene and a command centre was put in place.

Whilst they managed to get the fire under control around 3.30am, efforts to completely extinguish the fire are likely to continue until the late morning hours.

A high-speed ventilator, respiratory protection, a commando post as well as two special rotating ladders were made available at the scene.

An ambulance was ready to intervene, however, there have been no casualties thus far.

The following fire brigades were at the scene: Goesdorf, Wiltz, Esch/Sûre, Ettelbruck, Alebëch, Lac de la Haute Sûre and Clervaux.
