Painted trees and those with fixed decorations will be removed during the weekly rounds of collection of mixed residual waste.
"Clean" trees, that is to say those that are not spray-dyed and are without decoration, will be collected separately, also on the regular day of waste collection, or "even the next day, with a view to them being sorted for composting".
In both cases, it is sufficient to place the tree on the pavement or at the edge of the property before 6 am on the day of the collection of regular waste. (consult the pick up calendar via dechets.vdl.lu).
Note that trees measuring more than two meters must be pruned by cutting them in half at the middle.
It is also possible to return Christmas trees to the recycling center on the route d'Arlon, open Monday to Friday from 7am to 7.15 pm and Saturday from 9 am to 4 pm. (last entry 15 minutes before closing).
