Two people were involved in an altercation in Rippig on Sunday evening, leaving one unconscious on the ground and the other in police custody.
Police received reports of a brawl between two individuals on the N11 in Rippig that same evening. Upon arriving at the scene, officers found one person unconscious on the ground, suffering from a laceration to the head.
According to preliminary information, both parties were under the influence of alcohol, which is believed to have contributed to the outbreak of the fight. During the altercation, the suspected perpetrator allegedly struck the victim on the head with a bottle, causing the latter to lose consciousness.
The victim received first aid at the scene before being transported to a hospital.
The presumed culprit was taken into custody after undergoing a medical check-up.
