Later in the afternoon, at around 4pm, a road accident took place between Bettel and Fouhren, when a car and a motorcycle collided. According to the report, a driver had suddenly overtaken several cars at relatively high speed and struck the motorcycle. The motorcyclist came off his bike and was treated by rescue crews. The driver also received medical attention and was taken to hospital for a check-up. Here too, an alcohol test came back positive.
At around 10pm, a patrol between Altwies and Mondorf-les-Bains spotted a car weaving through traffic. The driver kept drifting into the middle of the road and started driving very slowly. The vehicle was pulled over by police, and after a positive test the driver's licence was seized.
Around the same time, an argument broke out between a driver and a female passenger on the A13 between Mondorf-les-Bains and Altwies. According to initial information, the driver had brought the vehicle to a stop partly on the roadway. The female passenger stated that the man had earlier threatened her. The driver tested positive for alcohol and, alongside a provisional driving ban, a report was also drawn up for making threats.
