The driver came off the road for unknown reasons between Clemency and the Belgian municipality of Messancy on Friday afternoon.
The vehicle struck an embankment after swerving round a bend, with the force of the collision and the steepness of the slope causing the car to roll and come to rest on its roof.
Fortunately, the driver was able to extract himself from his vehicle and was found sitting by the side of the road without any apparent injuries when the emergency services arrived on the scene. The Mamer ambulance and an emergency team from Kaerjeng attended the site of the crash, and closed the road to traffic during the accident response. Paramedics checked the driver at the scene.
