On Friday evening, police received a report of an accident in Grevenmacher at around 7.30pm, in which a van overturned. According to initial findings, the driver had swerved to avoid another vehicle. The driver of the other vehicle remained at the scene after the accident.
In addition to the driver, two other people had been in the van. Of the three occupants, two suffered minor injuries.
Both the driver of the van and the driver of the other vehicle tested positive for alcohol and drugs. The driving licences of both were provisionally suspended.
