
According to the National Employment Agency’s (ADEM) latest report published on Monday, this marks an increase of 7.3% compared to the previous year, with 1,334 more people seeking employment than in December 2023.
Job vacancies stood at 5,935 at the end of the year, while the number of newly registered job seekers in December rose slightly to 2,328, up by 50 compared to November.
The data also revealed a 9.3% rise in residents receiving full unemployment benefits, totalling 10,737 individuals. Meanwhile, the number of people participating in employment measures remained stable at 4,111, unchanged from December 2023.
Job cuts primarily impacted the road transport, accounting, culinary production, IT, and banking sectors, reflecting ongoing challenges in these industries.
