Luxembourg Consumer Protection AssociationULC criticises slow progress on implementing draft bill on class action lawsuits

RTL Today
The Luxembourg Consumer Protection Association (ULC) has raised concerns regarding delays in the enacting of the law on class action lawsuits, criticising the Council of State in particular.

The draft law, intended to implement the corresponding European directive, was submitted a year and a half ago. However, the ULC has highlighted that the Council of State has yet to issue its opinion on the matter.

The association wonders whether the Council may be prioritising other projects.

To address this concern, the ULC has taken the initiative to draft an open letter addressed to Minister for Consumer Protection Paulette Lenert.
