According to the ULC, in the lead-up to the elections, purchasing power, tax relief, and consumer protection were prominent topics, particularly among the future governing parties. However, just two weeks after the elections, the ULC has observed a significant decline in the relevance of these issues.
The organisation expressed its dissatisfaction in a press release, emphasising that these crucial matters have seemingly fallen by the wayside, without meaningful attention from either the Christian Social People’s Party (CSV) or Democratic Party (DP).
Furthermore, the ULC expressed regret over not being included in discussions with the coalition delegation.
