At around 6.20am, a car and a motorcycle collided in the border area of the A3 motorway at Dudelange, heading towards Luxembourg. The emergency medical service, the Dudelange rescue services and the Bettembourg ambulance were sent to the scene, and one person was taken to hospital with injuries. A long tailback formed on the French side.

Shortly before 7am, an accident occurred at the Grünewald junction of the A1 motorway from Trier, as a motorist tried to take the exit towards Kirchberg. The fire brigades from Junglinster and Niederanven-Schuttrange were called in, alongside an ambulance from Luxembourg City, to attend to the injured driver. Heavy congestion built up here too.

Shortly after 10.30am, a transformer caught fire in Medernach on Rue de Diekirch. Firefighters from Larochette and Vallée de l'Ernz brigades dealt with the blaze.
