Around 11.30pm on Monday, a motorist suffered minor injuries when her car hit a tree near Schieren. When police arrived at the scene, she had already been taken to hospital. There, officers concluded that she had been drinking, which was confirmed by a breathalyser test.

Her license was revoked and the woman was issued a driving ban on the spot. The vehicle suffered total damage and was towed away.

Shortly after 4am on Tuesday morning, a patrol noticed a vehicle driving at high speed on the Route d’Arlon between Capellen and Windhof. There, the driver overtook a second police patrol.

Officers brought the car to a halt and checked all three people onboard. The man behind the wheel was clearly intoxicated, which was confirmed by a breathalyser test. His permit was revoked.
