The first fire erupted around 6.40 pm in a chimney in rue de l'Eau in Hobscheid. Local firefighters were supported by teams from Mamer in their fight against the flames.
The second fire happened around 10.30 pm in Avenue de la Gare in the capital, where flames affected the power distribution. Local firefighters were called to the scene.
