Police stopped two motorists on Sunday after both were found to be driving under the influence of alcohol.
According to police, a motorist was reported in Rue de Colmar-Berg in Mersch for suspected drink driving. A patrol was able to locate and stop the driver shortly afterwards. Following a positive breathalyser test, officers issued a provisional driving ban.
Later that same evening, another driver was reported in Fridhaff for driving erratically and nearly causing an accident. The motorist was eventually stopped in a car park at the Parc Hotel in Dommeldange. The driver appeared to be intoxicated, prompting officers to carry out an alcohol test. The result was positive, and the driver had to surrender his driving licence.
