A Luxembourger and a Filipino national were extradited to Luxembourg on Thursday by German police, following an international arrest warrant.

The first offender, a 52-year-old Luxembourger, was wanted for money laundering and fraud up to €6,000 euros. He was sentenced to 270 days in prison.

The second criminal, a 69-year-old man from the Philippines, was sentenced to eight years, or 2,152 days, in prison for sexual assault offences committed in Luxembourg.

Both men were handed over to Luxembourg police by their German counterparts on the bridge in Wasserbillig.
