A 24-year-old prisoner was discovered dead at the Centre Hospitalier Neuro-Psychiatrique (CHNP) around 6am on Wednesday, according to information released by the public prosecutor's office.
The inmate had been transferred to the CHNP from Luxembourg Penitentiary Centre on 11 September of this year.
The public prosecutor's office in Diekirch has been notified of the incident and has ordered an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
