Speedy studentTrainee driver speeds past construction site at 167 km/h

RTL Today
On Tuesday evening, a driver was pulled over on the A4 motorway after overtaking a police patrol in a 90 km/h zone.

The incident occurred at around 9pm, when a police patrol travelling on the A4 motorway was overtaken by a car that was “obviously speeding.”

Authorities registered the vehicle traveling at a speed of 167 km/h instead of the designated 90 km/h in an active construction zone near Pontpierre. The car was subsequently intercepted at the Foetz motorway exit.

When checking the driver, the police found that he had not yet completed his training period and only had a probationary driving licence.

His licence was withdrawn on the spot and a report was drawn up.
