Train traffic on the Luxembourg – Esch/Alzette – Rodange and Luxembourg – Thionville – Metz lines has returned to normal after completion of urgent maintenance work between Bettembourg and Luxembourg.

At around 2am Saturday morning, CFL has updated that the Luxembourg – Esch/Alzette – Rodange and Luxembourg – Thionville – Metz routes have been fixed after necessary emergency maintenance work between Bettembourg and Luxembourg.

Friday evening, CFL previously communicated that urgent maintenance works were required and no trains will be circulating between Luxembourg and Bettembourg on the Luxembourg – Esch/Alzette – Rodange and Luxembourg – Thionville – Metz lines until, at least, 3am on Saturday 18 January. But CFL had set up a replacement bus service to ensure smooth transport. The bus service is no longer being used since the train lines are in full use again.

Although the route has now gotten back to normal, passengers are advised to still check updated schedules on www.cfl.lu or via the CFL mobile app for the latest information.
