On Tuesday afternoon, a collision occurred between a freight train and a lorry at the port in Mertert.
According to the Luxembourg National Railway Company (CFL), no injuries were reported, and the incident resulted only in material damage. Two recovery vehicles were despatched to the scene to clear the area.
The cause of the accident remains unclear. CFL has announced that it will conduct a thorough analysis to determine how the incident occurred.
