Two collisions have caused major traffic jams during Thursday's morning rush hour, one on the A3 heading towards Luxembourg City and another on the A13 at Hellange, towards Pétange.
The Traffic Control Centre (CITA) warned shortly before 7.30am that an accident had occurred on the A3 towards Luxembourg City, at the Dudelange-Centre interchange. A collision between two vehicles was blocking the overtaking lane, and a tailback several kilometres long had already built up.
A second accident followed shortly afterwards on the A13 near Hellange, heading towards Pétange. That collision involved three vehicles, blocking both the overtaking lane and the right-hand lane. All traffic is being diverted onto the hard shoulder, with drivers urged to proceed carefully.
