A driver was fined for possessing and consuming illegal drugs. Another individual received a €145 fine and lost two points on their driving licence for failing to present a valid vehicle inspection certificate. Additional fines were issued for driving without a valid licence (€24) and for a cracked windscreen (€74).

Drunk driving

Police received a report on Thursday night about a vehicle in Grevenmacher whose driver was suspected of having consumed excessive amounts of alcohol. Officers stopped the vehicle and carried out a breath test, which returned a positive result. A provisional driving ban was issued.

Later that evening, another driver in Kehlen, who did not hold a valid driving licence, also tested positive for alcohol. During the same night, police carried out speed checks in Bridel and stopped a speeding driver who was found to be over the legal alcohol limit. Both drivers had their driving licences revoked.
