According to the ITM, employees of over 4,000 businesses were called to participate in the vote. In a press release issued on Thursday, the Inspectorate said that 4,221 companies, employing at least 15 staff, had been asked to appoint staff representatives.
However, 493 companies did not participate in the election. The ITM said it would be following up these cases and will also analyse the 226 files which have not yet been declared.
Businesses enter the results of the elections on MyGuichet.lu. The first results were posted just minutes after midnight on 13 March. Just under 3,000 businesses have used the online platform to post their results so far.
