Product recallTraces of aflatoxins found in Delhaize pistachios

RTL Today
In an official statement, Delhaize announced that their house brand pistachios sold between 7 February and 15 March were found to contain overly high levels of aflatoxin.

The 200G DLL pistachios have since been cleared from the shelves, but customers who purchased the product during the period in question are asked to return them to a local branch.

Aflatoxins are produced by certain moulds and when consumed can lead to liver damage, but are also known to be carcinogenic. Symptoms may include nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain.
