You'll want to break out the old winter coat this morning, as we're dipping below zero. You'll also want to avoid driving if you don't have winter tyres. Also, don't forget to check how to turn on the fog lights before you leave your parking spot! It may not be foggy where you start off, but chances are it will be within a few hundred metres..

Morning temperatures of -2 to 2 °C  should increase to 7-11 °C in the afternoon, before dropping to 1-5°C in the evening.

The police have announced the following checks for Thursday:

One in the morning:

• Rue de Luxembourg in Bridel.

And two in the afternoon:

• Rue Bastogne in Ettelbruck;
• Rue Prince Henri in Helmsange.
