Forecasters are warning of possible thunderstorms late on Tuesday afternoon after a largely cloudy start to the day. According to MeteoLux, the risk is expected to ease by early evening.
Temperatures across the Grand Duchy will gradually begin to fall after Tuesday's thunderstorms, although the decline will be slow. After highs of up to 35°C on Tuesday, Wednesday is still expected to remain hot, with temperatures reaching up to 34°C.
The heat should then ease further, with highs of 30°C to 32°C forecast for Thursday, followed by 28°C to 30°C on Friday, and 25°C to 27°C on Saturday. A more noticeable drop is expected on Sunday, when temperatures are forecast to reach no more than 20°C to 22°C.
The cooler conditions will also be accompanied at times by strong north easterly winds, with gusts of 40 to 50 km/h possible during the day. This could pose a significant risk in the event of a fire, as strong winds can cause flames to spread more rapidly.
