Nearly everyone in the Grand Duchy was wishing for the extreme heat to go away, but perhaps not in such a drastic manner: Meteolux has now issued a yellow alert for thunderstorms, effective from 7pm on Tuesday until 7am on Wednesday.
Rainfall totals could reach 15 to 25 l/m² in a very short time, accompanied by winds in the vicinity of 70 to 80 km/h.
The orange alert for high temperature is still partially active for the southern part of the country, but is expected to drop in tandem with the temperatures, which should go down to the mid-to-high 20s on Wednesday.
