
The defendant had already been sentenced to three months prison as he did not show up to his trial in the previous year. The ruling included a €1,500 fine and a ten year ban from owning animals.
The man has opposed the ruling concerning events that occurred between March 2017 and February 2018.
The man, based in Remich, had failed to care for his seven chickens, which led to the deaths of three of those.
The verdict will take place on 7 March.
