One of these checks occurred on the orders of the public prosecutor's office in rue des Martyrs in Rumelange between 7.30 pm and 9 pm. 108 drivers were checked. In two cases, the alcohol test came back positive, with one driver having to hand over their licence on the spot.

In addition, a shoplifter trying to steal smartphones was caught red-handed by the security personnel of an electrical shop in Esch-Belval on Friday. Staff members called the police, and the culprit was arrested. One member of the security staff was slightly injured in the incident.
