A bus at Findel airport caught fire on Monday evening after its brakes overheated. Local firefighters were able to get the flames under control before anyone was injured.
A kitchen fire occurred in Esch-sur-Alzette, but was also brought under control without anyone being injured.
A major fire was then reported across the border in Trier. Metal scraps at a warehouse located at the Moselle caught fire and nearby residents were advised to stay inside and keep their doors and windows closed due to the smoke. Firefighting operations lasted well into the night.
