Alcohol checks took place at the Fridhaff roundabout towards northern Luxembourg, on Route d’Arlon in Strassen, in Rue de Luxembourg in Bridel, and in Rue Biergerkräiz, also in Bridel.
In total, the police pulled over 592 motorists. Twenty-seven turned out to be inebriated, and three lost their driving licences on the spot.
At around 1am on early Saturday morning, a speed check took place in Rue de Luxembourg in Heisdorf. Three drivers were caught speeding, one of which was also found to be intoxicated. The latter had to hand over their driving licence.
