On Sunday afternoon, police were alerted to a reckless driver on the A7 motorway. Officers were able to stop the vehicle and subject the driver to an alcohol test. The result showed that the motorist had twice the allowed rate. Officers thus awarded a provisional driving ban.
In the early evening, an accident occurred on Route de Longwy in Rodange. Two vehicles collided, after which one of the drivers admitted to being drunk. Officers confirmed the statement with a test and also found that the vehicle’s registration papers showed irregularities. Since the driver was also unable to present a license, officers informed the prosecutor’s office about the incident and filed a complaint.
Shorty before ten o’clock in the evening, a police patrol encountered a vehicle going in the wrong direction on Rue de Hollerich in the capital. The driver subsequently tested positive for alcohol and also exceeded the permitted level by twice as much.
