The Luxembourg railway company foresees a busy 2021. The demand for rail transport has increased steadily and "the excellent growth in the number of passengers transported (+ 85% in the last 20 years) confirms this", the CFL explains.
To relieve congestion at the capital's station and strengthen its star-shaped network, in which everything is channelled through Luxembourg City, the CFL will mostly strengthen tracks coming in and out from the city centre, as well as other main routes.
