After a triple weather warning was issued in Luxembourg on Friday, up to 12cm of snow remained in parts of the north overnight into the weekend.
For Saturday, however, Meteolux has issued no further warnings, aside from the risk of localised icy roads. Conditions will remain overcast with light snow in places, particularly on Saturday morning, before turning drier as the day goes on. Skies are expected to begin clearing later in the evening.
Meteolux has issued a yellow alert for the north of the country on Sunday, in place from midnight until 11.59, due to cold temperatures. Conditions are forecast to range between -6 and -8°C, with the possibility of -10°C in some areas. There may, however, be some sunny spells breaking through the cloud.
Next week, however, temperatures are set to rise again. Some light snow may still fall on Monday before milder conditions return, with highs of up to 5°C on Monday, 7°C on Tuesday, and 9°C on Wednesday. Despite the warmer weather, skies will remain grey with scattered rain showers. It is also set to become windier on Wednesday, with gusts of up to 50 km/h.
