Sidere informs that the drinking water network supplying the municipalities below is potentially polluted. The following localities are concerned :
- Betzdorf (Banzelt, Betzdorf, Berg, Mensdorf and Roodt-sur-Syre)
- Biwer (Biwer, Brouch, Boudler, Boudlerbach and Wecker)
- Flaxweiler (Beyren, Buchholtz, Flaxweiler, Gostingen, Niederdonven and Oberdonven)
- Grevenmacher (Potaschberg and Grevenmacher)
- Manternach (Berbourg, Lellig, Manternach and Münschecker)
- Mertert (only the Technofibre society and the Wasserbillig service station)
- Rosport-Mompach (Givenich, Herborn, Moersdorf and Mompach)
- Wormeldange (Ahn, Ehnen, Kapenacker, Machtum, Wormeldange and Wormeldange-Haut)
As a precautionary measure it is recommended for the inhabitants of these localities:
1. Do not drink tap water.
2. Do not wash salads, vegetables or fruit eaten raw in tap water.
The technical service and the state authorities are currently working together to solve this problem.
