The leadership chaos at employment initiative Proactif continues as witness testimony given under oath substantiates allegations of aggressive behaviour made against former director François Georges.
According to these statements, Georges lost his temper during a meeting with four leading figures of the initiative and was about to physically attack the president had he not been restrained by someone. On top of this, sworn witness testimony alleges that the former director pressured those present in the days following the incident to not portray him as “violent” as this would be “dangerous”.
Georges is also being accused of making xenophobic, homophobic, and racist remarks. Sworn testimony suggests that the former director used the n-word to describe cleaning staff of African descent and generally berated the French, with this being linked to his commercial activities having been targeted by French authorities in the past.
The list of sworn allegations further includes ableist comments that Georges supposedly made in the presence of Labour Minister Georges Mischo, reportedly saying that people with disabilities would be unable to contribute to the productivity of Proactif. At the time, the initiative’s president is said to have intervened and assured the Minister that this was not the position of Proactif.
