The public prosecutor’s office confirmed it had been contacted by the Medical College on 16 December 2025, filing a complaint regarding the treatment of two patients by the orthopaedic surgeon who was suspended by the Robert Schuman Hospital group this week.

After examining the case and all respective documentation, the public prosecutor’s office said, in relation to the file’s current status, the necessary concrete and objective elements were absent in order to press criminal charges against the surgeon.

The case will now be returned to the Medical College, which can launch a disciplinary procedure under the circumstances, or appoint an expert to review the file, the statement concluded.
