In November 2016, the then 25-year-old former police officer violently attacked another police officer in a club in Limpertsberg, most likely out of jealousy.
The blows were so severe that the victim's face was fractured, injuries which still affect the victim's life today.
The two police officers were not on duty at the time of the dispute. In addition to the three-year prison sentence, half of which he will serve on probation, the man will also have to pay a fine of €1,500.
