Police responded to an attempted robbery at a fast-food restaurant on Avenue de la Gare in Luxembourg City on Sunday morning. An unidentified man reportedly became physical with a staff member and held a syringe to their face after they refused to hand over money. He then fled the scene. According to police, a patrol later located and stopped the suspect. He was arrested on the orders of the public prosecutor and appeared before the examining magistrate on Monday.
That same morning, another robbery occurred in Rue de la Fonderie, also in the Gare district. In this case, a man reportedly assaulted a victim and stole their mobile phone. Based on a description provided to officers, the suspect was identified and apprehended shortly afterwards. He was likewise arrested on the orders of the public prosecutor and was due to appear before the examining magistrate.
