A fire broke out at a primary school building in Junglinster on Wednesday morning, prompting the evacuation of students, though no injuries were reported and firefighters quickly brought the blaze under control.

A fire broke out at around 9am on Wednesday in the Jean-Pierre Welter building of the Junglinster primary school, according to local officials. The blaze was quickly brought under control by firefighters and no injuries were reported.

Students were evacuated to the sports hall next to the school, where they are currently being looked after. The municipality said childcare services and supervision for the day remain fully operational, with care arrangements continuing as normal.

No further details on the cause of the fire were immediately available.
