The project is expected to have a positive impact on innovation, making Luxembourg an even more attractive hub for the space industry, says rapporteur André Bauler. The total cost comes to around €196 million.

The risk is significant and the investment extremely high, but the space sector is booming, and Luxembourg should not miss the opportunity to be part of it, said Tom Weidig of the ADR.

Sven Clement of the Pirates called the test centre a sensible project – satellites need to be tested once they're built. Joëlle Welfring of the Greens likewise called the project worthwhile, but asked that a review of the funding be carried out in a year's time. Marc Baum of the Left took a more critical view, saying he found it problematic that the project is directly linked to the defence sector.
