EducationSNE outraged over "no-go" recruitment strategy

RTL Today
The teacher's union issued a press release on Thursday, which criticises the government recruitment plan for additional substitute teachers.

Apart from the criticism towards the government plan, SNE reminds officials that the system is currently approaching its limitations. A warning that was already issued during the summer, the union notes. A significant number of classes needed to be split due to confirmed infections or precautionary measures, and the education system is close to collapsing, the statement emphasises.

Nevertheless, the new Covid law, which will allow the government to recruit personnel without proper training or experience, is considered unacceptable. The union proposes that these recruits should only be allowed to act in supervisory roles, but not as teachers.
