Between 27 May and 18 June, everyone is welcome to try out some city surfing in Esch-sur-Alzette. As part of the “Summer in the City” programme, the Place des Remparts has been transformed into a beach.

Up to two people can surf on a wave for up to 30 minutes. The experience is completely free - an activity that would usually cost a fortune in other places, surely. So now you can take your board meetings from the office to...the board outside!

Participants can register on site. They’ll change into a neoprene wetsuit before jumping into the water. Showers, changing rooms and security are present on site to ensure the summer fun goes smoothly.

Note that the wave is reserved for school children on Mondays and Wednesdays between 12pm-4pm. The general public can access the wave on Sundays and all other days of the week between 12pm-8pm.

Even cooler: Surf sessions will continue until 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays, accompanied by musical entertainment and catering.
