The Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS) faced a series of incidents on Thursday, including five traffic accidents, one fire, and one smoke occurrence.

The day started with a single-vehicle accident that occurred on Boulevard Emile Krieps in Differdange, leaving one person injured.

At around 1pm, the Luxembourg City fire brigade responded to a fire in a rubbish bin in Rue d’Athus. No one was injured. Shortly after, at 1.45pm, firefighters were dispatched to Rue Edward Steichen in Kirchberg to check on a smoke development.

During mid-afternoon, at approximately 1.30pm, an accident transpired on the A6 motorway near Helfent, specifically at Croix de Cessange, leaving one person injured. Shortly before 3pm, a collision occurred between a motorbike and a car on Route de Luxembourg in Livange, resulting in one individual sustaining injuries. At roughly 3.45pm, a collision involving two vehicles took place at “um Roudenhaff” in Echternach, leaving two people injured.

Lastly, a cyclist was struck by a motorcycle on Boulevard Royal shortly after 5pm. The Luxembourg City emergency services were at the scene.
