
The first accident was reported on Saturday shortly after 7pm on the Nouspelter Strooss in Goetzingen, where a vehicle collided with a tree, leaving one person injured. Emergency services from Mamer and the fire brigade from Steinfort were dispatched.
A false alarm about a burning vegetation on the Rue de Bettembourg was reported to the Dudelange fire brigade at 7.30pm.
The Dudelange fire brigade was also dispatched to an accident on the N13 between Fentange and Bettembourg, where a vehicle had veered off the road around 9pm. The Bettembourg emergency services tended to one injured person, and the Bettembourg fire brigade was also called to the site of the accident. The police report that the driver collided with two cars that were parked next to the road. They were lightly injured, and tests showed high levels of alcohol, as well as cannabis consumption. The driver’s license was revoked, and costly material damage is expected from the accident.
A car overturned on the A13 motorway to Schengen at 9.30pm. The emergency services from Petange, Esch-sur-Alzette and the fire and rescue corps of Sanem and Differdange (Zenter SaDiff) tended to one injured party.
Close to 10pm, a vehicle caught fire on the Rue Prince Henri in Ettelbruck, which was extinguished by the fire brigades from Nordstad Luxembourg (Zenter Nordstad), resulting in material damage.
Another car veered off the road on the N11 at Junglinster around 1am. The emergency services from Junglinster were called to the scene, but no one was injured.
On the A13 from Schengen to Petange, another car overturned around 2am, without anyone getting injured. The emergency services from Dudelange and Bettembourg, as well as the fire brigades from Frisange, were dispatched to the site of the accident.
At around the same time, another car collided with a tree in Gilsdorf on the Rue du Pont. Two people were injured and tended to by the emergency doctor from Ettelbruck, two ambulances from Nordstad Luxembourg (Zenter Nordstad), and the fire brigades from Bettendorf and Nord Luxembourg were at the scene.
A car veered off the road on the N16 between Remich and Ellange-Gare, resulting in material damage only. Emergency services from Remich were dispatched to the site of the accident.
