It was a busy night for emergency services across the country on Thursday, as CGDIS crews were dispatched to five different accident scenes in the space of just over three hours.

The Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS) had a busy Thursday evening, responding to five separate accidents that left six people injured.

At around 8.40pm, a collision between Wiltz and Nothum left one person injured. Firefighters and paramedics from Wiltz attended the scene.

Twenty minutes later, at 9pm, a rubbish fire broke out on Sentier de la scierie in Dommeldange. Firefighters and paramedics from Luxembourg City were called in to extinguish the blaze and treat one person who sustained injuries.

In Bonnevoie, a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Rue Irmine at approximately 9.45pm. Emergency services from Luxembourg City were dispatched to the scene.

Just after 11pm, an accident on Rue Brill in Foetz left one person injured. Paramedics from Mondercange and firefighters from Esch-sur-Alzette responded.

Shortly thereafter, paramedics from Kayl and firefighters from Rumelange were sent to treat an injured person following a car accident on the A13 motorway between Kayl and Schifflange.

Finally, two vehicles collided on the A6 motorway between Croix de Cessange and the Helfent exit shortly after midnight. Firefighters and paramedics from Luxembourg City attended the scene and treated one injured person.
